BackPage Alternatives 2019 – Best Personal Advertising Sites

Backpage was a classified ad website until its ignoble end in 2018. It was the second biggest ad listing service on the Internet after Craigslist. It had ads for everything from real estate listings to automation jobs. Unfortunately, it was closed down following allegations of actively encouraging ads related to prostitution and human trafficking, with the company doing little in reining in such activities. Supposedly the company was privy to what was going on and even facilitated such acts.

But there’s no need to lament there are plenty of websites out there that do what backpage does without partaking in such seedy endeavors. Our ancestors had fairs and trade shows to barter goods. We have classified ads.

Keep in mind though that even if these websites aggressively monitor their content, they are in no way responsible for any fraudulent or unsatisfactory transaction. You are responsible for your own affairs.

Best Backpage alternatives

Here are the best backpage alternatives

Free Ads Time

free ads time

A great backpag alternative. With a foothold in all six continents and every major city in every country, it is a behemoth in classified ad postings. It’s largest presence is in the US with ads from every major US city running on its website. You can post ads on everything from pets, to free stuff (whatever that is). Real Estate, industrial products, and video games you will find it all here.

Classifiedads.com

classifiedads.com

Another awesome backpage alternative.A FREE classified ads website that lets you post ads, browse listings, and contact sellers. They are very diligent in filtering their content so that you only come across genuine listings and nothing shady. It has been recognized as a top startup in Seattle as well as among 5000 fastest growing companies all over the world.

Craigslist

craigslist

Can we even call it a backpage alternative? Would that be insulting Craigslist? Ah Craigslist, how many of us grew up with that name? In craigslist you can post ads anywhere for anything. You are limited in the number of ads you can post. It has an army of moderators constantly striving to make it safer.

FinderMaster

findermaster

We are in love with this backpage alternative. Go to finder master, find your relevant ad category, post your add (you can make revisions to your add anytime you want). Once you have availed yourself of what you were looking for, take the add down. It’s that simple.

Kijiji

We can’t get enough of this backpage alternative. An ad website based out of Canada. It has millions of live ads in every category imaginable with a new ad being posted every 2 seconds. It’s a great way to connect with people in your community.

kijiji

LocalFind

localfind

A trusted backpage alternative. It aims to help the local workforce in your very own backyard. This website aims to help local entrepreneurs connect with potential consumers. It is basically a go between platforms. It encourages orders with high volume as it brings down shipping costs. Unfortunately, it is for Canadians only.

OLX

olx

This is one backpage alternative worth trying. While not a classified ad website, it is more of an online market place. It has captured 60% of the online classified ad market share in India. It has a presence in more than 45 countries. You can sell everything from used bikes to mobiles here.

Quikr

quikr

An excellent backpage alternative. It is a classified listing platform solely for India. It is present in over 900 cities featuring ads for everything from tuition teachers to mobile phones.

Classifieds Factor

classifiedsfactor

An amazing backpage alternative. A drawback among classified ad listings is that they tend to get rather cluttered and their interfaces are uninviting and straight out repulsive. Not in ClassifiedsFactor, with a minimalist interface and reliable listings, this is your new go-to place for place for placing classified ads.

Geebo

geebo

A super backpage alternative. It treats buyers and sellers as members of a community. Its very aim is to build such a community by establishing better lines of communication between buyers and sellers. Here you get to ask questions, share experiences, ask questions and get answers. You won’t feel like you are buying or selling to a complete stranger. That’s what Geebo offers- a connection with the guy on the other end.

Well what do you think? We were really impressed with Geebo and how it aims to turn buyers and sellers in to a community. If only more companies worked that way, the world would be a much better place.
