  5. Enter the current and new password

B) Change your Facebook password through Desktop version

To change your Facebook password through the Desktop version you need to go Facebook.com. In the Facebook home page login into your account using your account details. Follow the below steps to change your Facebook password using the desktop version.

1)Login into your Facebook account
Open the Facebook home page and login into your account if you’re not signed in automatically.

2) Click on the options icon (down arrow)
On the top right corner (beside the question mark icon) you will find the options icon. Click on that to explore your Facebook settings.

In the options listed you will find the Settings option listed. Click on that to explore the Account settings of Facebook.

In the settings section you will find the Security and login section. There are series of settings available on the left side of the settings page. Click on the Security and login settings.

5) Click on Change password
Scroll down below in the Security and login page and you will find the change password option listed. Hit the change password option to change your Facebook password.

6) Enter your passwords in the required fields
You need to enter your current password and also your new password. Enter your new password twice for Facebook to verify your password.

After entering the passwords in the required fields tap on save changes to save your settings and you can login with your new password.

Note:

To build a strong password:
a) Do not use passwords which contain your names, pet names etc.
b) Always use combination of different letters, symbols and numbers.
c) Do not use consecutive letters or numbers. This makes your password more predictable.
d) Do not include your phone numbers, email addresses or date of birth’s in your password.
